The Soap Project : Sip & Soap
Come join us for a fun-filled afternoon Saturday, May 18, 2-4pm at 2 Society Rd, Niantic, CT. Come join us for a fun-filled afternoon where you can get your hands dirty and make your own soap! This Make and Take event supports local 501c Charities in SECT, such as Care & Share of East Lyme, Community of Hope, and The St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen - where the gift of laundry soap helps those they serve have clean clothes and more resources for other needs, such as food. Your investment helps us buy materials to support the gift. Our Soap and Sip event is the perfect opportunity to enjoy camaraderie and bubbly while having good, clean fun. Whether you're a soap-making pro or a newbie, this event suits all skill levels. Don't miss out on this unique experience to craft economical, safer laundry soap you will love using at home. Come to make some and take some while sipping bubbly - --while knowing you are lightening another's load. .. See you there! This event is a collaboration among Christy Pyatt, Lisa Terenzio, and Kimberly Burton Allen. We hope, like the Purse Project, to rally members of our community for a single event that will have an impact for months and ripple throughout Southeastern Connecticut. Our vision is to use the space at Kim's home, Christy's networking, and Lisa's event planning to gather a cadre of local women to come together for an event where they (donate their time, money, and/or energy) to learn to make the soap, engage in fellowship and have fun.
